The Land of Latvia – Long-Term Development Perspectives

About

Publishing house Dienas Bizness together with the Association “Latvian Agricultural Organisation Cooperation Council” (LAOCC), Cooperative VAKS LPKS, ALTUM and industry experts organizes an online conference “The Land of Latvia – Long-Term Development Perspectives”

Climate change and the increase in GHG emissions, technological opportunities and the demand for environmentally friendly production are creating increasing challenges in the agricultural and forestry sectors every year. It is clear that meeting the environmental requirements of any EU country depends on state aid and a clear long-term tax policy, as well as on the willingness of entrepreneurs themselves to make long-term commitments to sectoral development. If the public demand for ecologically and economically produced products is growing globally in Latvia and in the world, then the opportunities to do so alternate with various challenges, understanding and cooperation of public administration and entrepreneurs, as well as limited natural resources, unavailability of labor, changing weather conditions and other factors.
